Online shopping is so easy and convenient, but there's always that one question we get stuck on sometimes — "Hmm, what size should I get?" In an effort to give you more shopping confidence in choosing the best size for you, we've created this comprehensive guide to Marleylilly sizing.
General Sizing Guide:
All of our apparel items have a sizing guide linked to them. You can find this guide by clicking the pink hyperlink directly under the size options on the product page. This pink text will list the fit style (Classic Fit, Relaxed Fit, or Oversized Fit) and the fit description (Runs Small, True to Size, or Runs Large).
Garment Fit Style
Using our chart accurately depends on the Fit Style of the product you're interested in. Our products will either have a Slim Fit, Classic Fit, or Oversized Fit, as mentioned on the product page. These styles will tell you exactly how the item should fit!
These fit styles will help you choose the size you'd like. If the garment has a Slim Fit, your true size will fit close to the body. If the garment has a Classic Fit, your true size will have a relaxed fit through the chest and body. If the garment has an Oversized Fit, your true size will fit generously and grape loosely over the body.
How to Measure Yourself
First, you need to determine your body measurements and your typical size — you'll need to know your bust measurement and waist measurement. For the bust measurement, keep your arms relaxed at your sides and measure around the fullest part of your chest. For the waist measurement, measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Choose Your Size
For the purpose of this blog, let's pretend your body measurements were 37" bust, 29" waist, you usually wear a size 10 from major retail stores, and you'd like to purchase a Monogrammed Pullover Sweatshirt. Looking at the product page, we can see this item Runs True to Size with a Slim Fit. Using the Size Guide, these measurements all fall on the higher end of Size Medium. It's now all about personal preference! With its Slim Fit, the Medium will fit and be a little snug. If you'd like a little more room in your pullover, you could decide to go up to the Large!
Model Sizes
Here at Marleylilly, we like to photograph our items on models of all sizes! We add plenty of lifestyle images for every item, but you may not have known that we list all model measurements on each picture! If you're curious about the size a particular model is wearing, just click the 'View model info' button in the bottom left corner of any photo. This brings up a pop-up with the model's info: including height, waist, Marleylilly size, bust, and even a fun fact!
Customer Reviews
As another resource, you can read real reviews from verified buyers at the bottom of each product page. Customers have the option to list the size they purchased, their weight and height, and their personal opinions on fit, and share photos. This is a great resource to find customers of all shapes and sizes, and hear their honest feedback! You can also filter reviews by specific keywords to help specify the results — keywords like Size, Fit, Weight, Shape, and more.
We hope this guide helps, but if you're ever hesitant, you can always email us! One of our Customer Service Representatives would be more than happy to help you choose the size best for you! Happy shopping!
