Brighter colors are arriving in stores, the days are getting slightly longer and a few super fun holidays are just around the corner. Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter! Here are some fun little facts about these!
Mardi Gras is a holiday that is celebrated the day before Lent begins - 40 days leading up to Easter. Mardi Gras can also be recognized as “Fat Tuesday” by most in the Catholic faith. One fun tradition of this holiday is the King's Cake! The cake, often a sweet, braided bread or a rich, circular cake, is adorned with colorful icing and sometimes contains a hidden trinket or figurine. Tradition dictates that whoever finds the hidden object is crowned "king" or "queen" for the day, adding a festive and playful element to the occasion!
Next, we have St. Patrick's Day! On St. Patrick's Day, the streets come alive with a vibrant sea of green as people from all walks of life gather to celebrate Irish culture, adorned in shamrocks, enjoying lively parades, traditional music, and the joyous camaraderie that marks this festive occasion.
Finally, We have Easter! Easter is a time of renewal and joy! It brings families together to celebrate the resurrection of hope, with colorful egg hunts, joyful gatherings, and the sweetness of spring filling the air.
